Tenerife is our favourite place outside our home village.

 Los Cristianos from Montana de Guaza

Los Cristianos is on the sunny south of Tenerife and is a relatively quiet resort, ideal for those of us who do not need lots of night clubs and young people about. Playa de las Americas is a short distance away and that's the place if you want the razzmatazz!

Being exceptionally flat, Los Cristianos is an ideal resort for people with walking difficulties.

If you enjoy walking then the Montana de Guaza is at the end of the resort and it takes only about 30 minutes to walk to the top. You may puff a bit when you get there but the view is worth it. Whilst it's not a climb for those with walking difficulties, most others will manage it.

Take your camera and a bottle of water, the views are splendid. Walk around on top and see no one, you are a million miles away from what is happening only half a mile away below. There are abandoned plantations and one almost expects to see cowboys and Indians riding around every bend!

There are tours to suit everyone, including daytrips to neighbouring islands such as Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and La Gomera.
